Is there a deadline for submitting expenses I incurred during the current calendar year?
No. There’s no time limit for submitting eligible medical expenses within the same year you incurred the expense. In other words, you can submit a reimbursement request on December 31 for something you incurred back in January.
We always recommend submitting as soon as you have the documentation so you can get your reimbursement as quickly as possible.
What is the last date and time I can submit expenses for last year?
At the end of every calendar year, you may have a runout period to submit any expenses you incurred from the previous calendar year.
Please refer to the Legal Documents of your benefit to view the specific length of time you have to submit your reimbursement requests.
What will happen to my pending expenses at the end of the runout period?
After the runout period, the handling of your expenses depends on the status of your account—whether it's active or closed.
For Active Accounts:
If your account is active, expenses that are labeled as "Awaiting review" will still undergo the review process by our Review Team, even after the deadline has passed. Those in "Action Required" status will also be able to be edited for a short time and sent back for review. However, please note that you won't be able to submit any new expenses for that specific period once the deadline has elapsed. Additionally, for any expenses that have been marked as "Verified" but not yet reimbursed, your employer will see any available amounts due for reimbursement, even after the runout deadline. They can proceed with reimbursement even after the deadline has passed.
For Closed Accounts:
In the case of closed accounts, expenses that are either "Awaiting review," "Action Required," or "Verified" but haven't been reimbursed by the deadline cannot be processed via PeopleKeep. This is due to the account being fully closed and all access removed. If you find yourself in this situation, we advise reaching out to your employer or the designated account administrator for further assistance.
